[sighs] She had something called Atrial myxoma, which is basically a tumor that had been growing in her heart for a while. Eventually it grew to a point where her heart couldn’t take it and she…had a heart attack.
I see… [nods]
Thank you, milady, for taking the time to speak with me.
And a charmer to boot. [chuckles] Pleasure’s all mine, handsome~ So…[looks him over, small spark of interest before tilting her head slightly to the side] what brings you here, Fandral? You don’t sound like you’re from around here.
Intuitive as well. You are correct in your assumptions, milady. I hail from the realm of Asgard. There was a time, not long ago, when this realm would have only been considered myth to your people. But in light of recent events, I understands that our existence is now widespread knowledge.
No, that is silly. If they wished to sing of something other than some confection, they would sing of it. Clearly, the mortal men come unto this lady’s garden because hers are the most superior confections in the land.
/turns around to face him as the door is shut, smirking wide/
How good it is to hear that he is well. Perhaps he has found an important key to surviving in this realm. Company.
/gives the “come hither” finger/
[Doesn’t even attempt to mask his grin, taking lazy steps over towards her before stopping mere inches away] So you believe sharing company to be his secret. More specifically, the company of a beautiful woman.
If this is true, milady, then it is no secret to me. For I have always known such things to be true.
Laws? What Midgardian laws would ever effect us, my dashing love?
/strolls in to the building with her chin up/
You have exquisite taste, for mortal accommodations. Tell me more about this “Hulk.” I have only heard rumors and stories.
/reattaches herself to Fandral’s arm as soon as he inside with her/
[Leads her over to the elevator, grimacing due to his distaste of the contraption but ultimately relents, pushing the appropriate floor number] A mere mortal by the looks of him, at least when he is in the good Doctor’s form. But he possesses the ability to transform into a beast whose strength rivals and perhaps surpasses Thor’s.
As for these laws, I know little of them still. Only that they are beginning to divide those referred to as superheroes and their allies. [Glances up] This way, milady. Just down the corridor here.
/wraps her arm around his, resting her other hand on it as well/
I need not worry about their hostilities with your blade around to protect me. Now…
/looks up at him with curiosity/
What is this shadow that looms over Midgard? You never did tell me.
I am still unsure of many of the details. This realm had only just recovered from the the titan Thanos’s attack some odd months ago. With him, he brought The Brood. A race not entirely unlike the Chitauri who came at Loki’s behest previously. Thor and his allies, the ones known as the Avengers, stopped a second attempt to overthrow this realm’s leaders.
Yet, now Midgard’s champions are the ones under attack. It seems that some wish for these heroes to abide by certain laws. It is my understanding that such regulations would also affect Asgardians who travel to this realm.
What’s more is the creature known as the Hulk, who was one of those six to save this realm on both occasions, tore through the city just days ago and left destruction and death in his wake. How or why he would do such a thing is still unknown. I came to know his other side, Doctor Bruce Banner well. I would never have thought such actions possible on his part. [Stops abruptly and gestures up towards the building] This is it. [Opens the large glass door for her to enter the lobby, following closely behind]
Show me the way, my love. It would be best if your friends do not know, either. They would not understand, as you do.
[Bows a bit] ‘Tis not far from here. [Offers his arm, leading her towards the small apartment complex near the east side of the city] Methinks you are correct in this regard. They find it difficult to decipher your… complexity.
